I’ve never had a cell phone before and new to apple (so double learning curve). I was given an iphone and the ads are horrendous! I can’t even look at things without ads popping up and leaving the page (I never knew it was so bad with ads every paragraph, etc. – on my compute I use FF).
The cell phone came with McAfee as that comes with the T-Mobile account but it seems to only check my modem.
So, how do I use the web without all the ads and is the McAfee really doing a good job at keeping my phone from malware? I’m not using on web much, mostly library, weather, picture of the days, etc. as too difficult for me to type on the phone, don’t want to pick up malware and my computer is in the shop until the end of this week or the beginning of the next. Then I’d use my computer mostly anyway for the web.
Also, any other pointers for keeping the iphone safe would be appreciated; although, in general, it’s just being used for emergencies. I did get a dummies book from the library, so something not in there or that I might miss.
